Associations

ADISCO (Associazione Donatrici Italiane Sangue del Cordone Ombelicale – Association of Italian Umbilical Cord Blood Donors) was founded in March 1997 as an association of women willing to donate umbilical cord blood after childbirth. Bazzi Insurance Partners actively supports the local activities of this association.

Alessandria AIL – ONLUS is the Alessandria-based section of the Italian Association against Leukaemia-Lymphoma and Myeloma. Founded on 20 November 1997 as an autonomous satellite of the National AIL association, AIL Alessandria is based at the Haematology department of the “SS Antonio e Biagio e C. Arrigo” state hospital in Alessandria, and is engaged in the fight against malignant blood diseases in complete accordance with the principles laid out in the articles of association of the National AIL.

The Associazione Amici del Cuore association contributes to expanding the cardiology and heart surgery capabilities of Trieste with donations of state of the art, sophisticated equipment, funding for research, congresses, conferences and purchasing scientific publications, and grants for young medical students.

The association is actively engaged in cardiovascular disease prevention, and provides arterial pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose testing to the public in a fully equipped mobile unit. The association also organises courses on “Treating cardiac arrest” and publishes the magazine “Amici del Cuore”.

AGIL Volley Trecate was founded between 1983 and 1984 under the initiative of Sister Giovanna Saporiti, a part of the convent since she was 20, and Marilena Bertini, a former physical education teacher who chose to become a nun at the age of 36, whose initial idea to create a community centre for youths was the start of an journey that has taken the organisation’s first team to the national A1 Series.

Over the years, the administration of the organisation has developed a project to redouble its commitment and strengthen its image in sports denominated “AGIL: LO SPORT CHE CRESCE”, with the following goals:

  • to promote a wholesome, fair model of sport in which competition and achievement coexist with human and ethical values of particular significance for the world of sports;
  • to turn the youth section of the organisation into a competitive force
  • to extend its user base through collaboration with a number of organisations operating in surrounding geographical areas.

Founded in 2020 by a group of local entrepreneurs, Monferrato Basket took over the rights to compete in the A2 Series with the precise goal of continuing to offer Casale and the entire Monferrato area a top class, spectacular sports experience. Furthermore, the organisation headed by president Simone Zerbinati also aims to be an ambassador for the territory, representing Monferrato throughout Italy and bringing prestige to the area with numerous promotional and communication initiatives.
